Western Canadian censuses

A quick post today. I’ve built a new page on my site as a quick reference to western Canadian censuses: British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. This is a page for genealogists: when was the census held, what genealogical data does it contain, where can it be found online, and what schedules survive. (Also see my post A quick guide to finding Canadian Census Schedules online for a table of schedules 2+ (or, schedules that go beyond population.)) In addition, I have added geographic information and one map. You might want to bookmark this one!

  1. I’m thinking I need a separate section on the library’s genealogy page pointing just to your helpful posts!! I just need the time to update it. Thanks for this one as well 🙂 Very useful!!
